I wonder if they were simply dipped in glass paint since the pins appear to have the orange tint as well.

 

When I dip mine, I only dip to the edge before the pins.

Note that in the first picture the orange tint doesn't completely cover the envelope. It looks to me like someone is playing around with Photoshop.

Just the light reflections'  The shift is difference between the walls and the blue tray, methinks.
