Has anyone made a nixie-tube christmas tree ?

I saw some single-tube ornaments online, but not a tree with a bunch of tubes.

Hmmmm....sounds like a future project for my desk at work. That would get a lot of laughs.

Any suggestions on how to paint a cable properly?

That looks interesting! Maybe it is easier to get a cable sleeving insted?

You're right, I think I'll wrap golden aluminium paper around the cable. This is probably easier than painting.Thanks for your input.

Here a first impression of the assembled xmas ball. I'll get the tree on saturday.

Here's a thought, how about a two tube Nixie Christmas Countdown Ornament.... could run from 99 days down!(or whatever start day you set)  Could blink 'HO HO' on Christmas morning. Would need small battery backup to maintain settings during the times the tree is off....

Any takers?
