Prepping for a new clock based on NL8422/B5991 nixies and needed sockets, so I went hunting on eBay and picked a few vintage National RTS-10's for a fair price. I had some Russian IN12 sockets, but folks here tell me they really don't fit correctly and certainly not worth risking my nice NOS tubes.
Anyhoo, the sockets arrive and they are still in the original bags with typewritten tags... There's something about components that have lasted 50+ years in their packaging that makes me hesitate opening them...I guess I'm just a nut lol.
