Solitube Clock

Hi All 

This is my first post but I am looking for a Solitube clock kit or assembled. Also if anyone has any information or a Solitube Kit PDF Assembly Guide that would be greatly appreciated.

I can't find any information about this clock on Dalibor's site.

First let me thank everyone that replied to my post for the Sonitube. The last few days I must of read every post on this forum and looked at countless designs and pictures all over the net.

I realized with all that info that I probably would not be happy for long after looking at all the 6 tube clocks that uses Dalibor's  R|Z568M tubes.

Since this will be a long term investment I have decided to change course and budget and build a 6 tube clock with R|Z568M tubes.

I appreciate all the help given to me so far, and hopefully with your help be able to build a clock that will be at least half as good as some of the designs you all have done.

I will keep you posted as I start the build once I have the board and design worked out with some of you out there. :)

That was one of the kits I was looking at. I have an idea about the clock I want to build but with respect to the individuals, I will need to wait for a reply on some design's and parts before I can post more.

Currently Dalibor is not taking any orders for his tubes just now as he has had a huge response lately for them and the Zen clock. Hopefully when you get around to building he will be open for orders again.

Yes I know that but just wanted to get in line so when he is able to send me 6 tubes I would be in some sequence when he could ship.

I only really need the Zen board right now to build the stand around it. Everything else can wait till this winter.

 

I hope he may be able to slip one in the mail in the next 4-6 weeks so I can finish the design and get the materials for the stand to start building.

 

My plan was to have it all done by Christmas this year.

Remember that with the ZEN Clock, you have to connect the clock to Dalibor's server to do configuration.  He did not have a local configuration option.  He can give you a demo login to see the features if you request it. 

That is one of the reasons that I have waited on the ZEN Clock but I have been running his tubes for more than a year.  He said that he planned to add local configuration in the future.

I did not know that. I am sure it will not be too hard to make that change. I reached out to Dalibor on getting the board only so we will see.

In the meantime if anyone has the exact measurement of the board that would help. I have a close one but not exact.

And a big thanks to MichaelB for getting me on the right course for my build.. Hopefully by Christmas I will have my own clockwork orange;)

Well good news!

I was able to order 6 black R|Z568M tubes from Dalibor. It will be a few months before shipping but they are in line to be produced. Thanks Dalibor

I was going to also get the Zen board but the size just was not going to work with the base I will be making.

So I will get the PV Electronics Spectrum R568 kit, WiFi NTP Sync Device and PIR Motion Sensor.

I will start ordering material for the base this week after drawing full scale prints with dimensions for the project.
