Does anyone still use K155ID1 drivers these days?
I'm not into building (yet) but got them as a bonus from a Russian seller when I bought a factory box of 100x IN-4 tubes years ago.
When I look at today's builds I never see people using them anymore.
So are they worth keeping or have they become obsolete?

They are sub $1, but worth keeping.

Also, very small, so they really don’t take any real estate.

Okay thanks
I wouldn't call them small though. They're 16 pin ICs and you need one for every tube.
Perhaps not a big deal for a larger clock but when designing something smaller, 6 of these take up quite some board space.

You can multiplex and make 1 do several tubes of course...

Small….

I wasn’t talking about the space they would take on a circuit board.  And, as David said, you can multiplex.

I was talking about real estate as in keeping them in your house instead of throwing them away.

You can store thousands of them in an electronics room and still never find them again.

Hello, Yohan Park.
I'm a manufacturer of KF155ID1.
This is the SO-16 package version of K155ID1 produced in Russia.
Wou can buy an IC directly from me.

Dmitry

Hmm, I seem to have over 200 of them, that's at least 200 more than I'll ever use - these are manufactured 1992 I think.

What was I thinking?
