Just saw this article, so I thought I'd share.  The basement 'scrap' included Nixie tube displays.

My goodness..there's a tape drive manufactured by Potter Instrument Company in the last photo. I had one of those many years ago and tried to rebuild it. Instantly recognized the illuminated  pushbuttons.
