Hi All,

Saw some of these ZM1040 tubes for sale, and I have no idea what they are, definitely not Nixies though - any ideas..

Hoping you can shed some light. It has 9 pins and is internally silvered - possibly a rectifier?

Cheers,
Paul

Hi Paul,

I'm interested to buy them. How many are and what is the unit price?

Regards,

Gelu

Hi!
That's a wrong labeled ZZ1040.

Dieter's right, it's a mislabled ZZ1040.

From memory, it's four neon voltage regulators in series. I'd love to obtain one.

ZM 1040 is a stabilizer tune equivalent to the Stv 100-60 (see datasheet)

Thanks for your help guys, a ZZ1040 it is then!

I was having a hunt for some Nixies and came across Billington Export https://web211.secure-secure.co.uk/tube-and-valve-electronics.co.uk/wholesale/basket.asp they have quite a few Nixies listed (although the Zm1080 are now gone!) I also got some odd Dekatrons that divide by 12 rather than 10, which I have never seen before either! Shame that those ZM1040's were not Nixies as the wholesale price was £18 each.. which is pretty good for NOS..

Cheers,
Paul
