Is there a comprehensive web site explaining the formats and abbreviations used in addresses across the world ?

I have a parcel, pending shipment, to Romania, but the street portion of the address seems incomplete. It may be a PO box, but I have found nothing confirming that by way of a Google search. I've left a question with the buyer, but I don't know if his English is good enough to understand my question. My Romanian is non-existent. A good website explaining it, with common abbreviations and short-hand codes would be helpful.

Not really an answer but a kind of hint.

Estonian address may seem very odd as the “street” or “lane” or “avenue” isn’t written out. Som someone who lives on Long Road 55 uses the adress ‘Pikk 55’ (Pikk meaning long).
In Russia you may use the street address where there maybe several houses (complexes), each with its own number and finally the number of an appartment. Living in apt 56 in the second house on Ulitsa Mira (Peace Street) would give the address: Ul Mira 56 d 2 kv 56.

I happened btw find the following info on Roumania addresses:
(They look a lot like Russian addresses)

and this one (wtf???)

I got lucky. The buyer understands English quite well. He responded promptly. The reason why his address seemed so strange, is that its a little village, that has no street names. So each house has its own house number, but no street name, since there ain't any.
