Hey all,

Given how close I am to Montreal, I've been planning to do some ACP sanctioned brevets with the Club Velo Randonneurs du Quebec. I was curious if anyone knew if these could be used against RUSA awards or if they would show up in my RUSA profile at all? I figure the answer is probably not, but thought I'd ask regardless.

Thanks,
Andrew

It's a good question but sadly the answer is no. I've been told there was some discussion in the early days of RUSA of allowing Canadian groups to list their events in the RUSA calendar but that didn't happen for various reasons. It used to be possible for RUSA to sanction events and perms that crossed the border but due to insurance that no longer is possible.

PBP is the only non-US event that appears in results.

Oh wow, that last bit on routes crossing the border is good to know. I was hoping to do BMB one day, but I suppose I'll just have to do it for myself now :)

The last BMB was held in 2006 (I was there). I doubt if there will be another.

My understanding is that they turned around at the border.
