Greetings all:

I will be running lead on NCABANA's effort at Fire on the Mountain.

This blacksmithing extravaganza continues to grow and we are proud to be a major sponsor for such a wonderful event.  

FOTM = Saturday, April 25th, 10 - 4      

This year's sponsorship is an agenda item for our upcoming board meeting with details to follow outlining member's opportunity.

Please advise your desire to participate and you will be put on the short list for booth details.

Another upcoming opportunity is the annual Blacksmith exhibition at the Toe River Arts Council set for the month of April leading up to FOTM.

Here is their notice:

Dear Lyle,

We are pleased to announce the call for artists to participate in the 2026 Annual Blacksmith exhibition, which is exhibited in conjunction with the “Fire on the Mountain Blacksmithing Festival” on Saturday, April 25th. The exhibition will be on display from March 28th – April 25th in the Kokol Gallery at our downtown Spruce Pine location (269 Oak Avenue).  

Metal artists that use a hammer and anvil are invited to submit work to the exhibition. We encourage submissions from metal artists/craftsmen of all levels. 

Submission Details

• Deadline: March 15th, 2026 

• Artists may submit 2 large pieces, 4 small pieces, or a combination (note that size restrictions may apply and that work submitted should be for sale) 

• No application fee and no jurying process to enter work in the exhibition
