Request for Digital Images of Manuscripts

Dear colleagues,

I am looking for photographs of the following manuscripts (GCAL II, 254.4):

• Cairo 111 (Simaika 53) Theology 196: f. 315v
• Sbath 1130

If anyone in the group has copies of either manuscript and would be willing to share them, I would be most grateful. Any information on their availability would also be greatly appreciated.

Sbath 1130 is listed as lost in del Rio Sanchez's catalogue of the Sbath (now Salem) collection in Aleppo, p. 335:

The Cairo ms is probably undigitized (they didn't digitize many of the Theology mss, unfortunately). I'll be happy to be corrected on this.

Thank you very much for taking the time to reply.

Yes, this is also what we have assumed. However, both Starr (in his dissertation The Epistle to Bišr b. Finhas) and Masry (in an article published in Al-Mashreq in 2019) mention that the manuscript is in a private collection in London, without providing any further details.

It now seems to be the George Antaki Collection, as the manuscript was sold at an auction in October 2025, although the identity of the new owner was not disclosed:

Since scholars who have worked on texts contained in this manuscript were evidently able to consult photographs of it, I thought it was worth asking whether someone in the group might happen to have copies of those photographs and would be willing to share them. :)
