You can reach the Nanoc site at https://nanoc.netlify.app for the time being.
The DNS infrastructure for all .ws domains appears to be malfunctioning. This is the third .ws outage this year, and I’m looking moving the Nanoc website to an alternate top-level domain. There’s unfortunately not much I can do to resolve this issue.
Last moth I migrated my personal domain from denis.ws (which is also down right now) to denisdefreyne.com, and I believe I need to do something similar for Nanoc to avoid this problem in the future.

Wow. When the .ws TLD is more reliable, hope the forwarding is all set up for those nanoc.ws links all over the internet! Nanoc deserves a good domain… - Dave

The Nanoc web site has moved to https://nanoc.app which should be more reliable! The old URLs will still work, of course.

If you still have nanoc.ws can you set it up to forward to nanoc.app? Over the years I've added a pile of links all over the place promoting Nanoc and it would be impossible to track them all down…
BTW I'm still happy with Ruby, even though I only use it for Nanoc but understand (from your notes) why it might not be seen as the first language choice now, although I'm guessing that most users are fine with Ruby.

Hey Dave,
nanoc.ws has a redirect set up to nanoc.app, so all existing links (even those to specific paths, and even those with specific #targets) will continue to work!
… as long as the .ws domain name system is up and running properly, of course! In any case, I plan to keep that domain around for at least several more years.

that's great news. I'm not ever likely to change the three nanoc sites I maintain to anything else - they're just too easy to update and deploy as they are.
