I completely agree with the governor. Nigerian government and its security agencies are compromised. Terrorism & kidnapping have become big industry in Nigeria. Some security personnel and govt. officials are complicit in arranging kidnappings as conduit to embezzle public fund.

Whoever pays ransom to terrorists/kidnappers with govt funds is behind it.

We must fish out the savage idiots deeply embedded in this government that are sponsoring this malfeasance at the detriment of innocent Nigerian children.

Nigerian people must arise to vent anger and vengeance on the rotten criminals feeding on the blood of our children. This is beyond politics or primitive tribalism. This is about our common humanity.

The governor is a fool. The kidnapping happened under his watch.

Despite not being in full control of the police force and Military, he failed to strengthen the regional security network(Amotekun) who should have been deployed to safeguard the so-called national reserve forest around the state.

Some of us have been saying payment of ransom to kidnappers by victims' families and state actors was a recipe for proliferation of kidnapping.

Payment to kidnappers by both families, individuals and state actors should be a criminal offence from the word go.

No sensible government should pay criminals to abate from their evil deeds neither should any penalty less than firing squad be the punishment for kidnappers.
You only reap what is sown....kidnapping pays more than any other form of crime in Nigeria.

Yes, some kidnapped individuals would have been killed because of non payment of ransom at the initial stage. That is a price that a sane society pays to maintain its sanity and ensure that the slippery slope of lawlessness is not encouraged.

It is unfortunate that you will call someone like Seyi Makinde, current Governor of  Oyo State, a fool. 

It is truly unfortunate. 

Pro - Tinubu people from the South West are beginning to sound as bizarre as the pro - BUharists of yesterday. Including Malami and Sirika. 

I wish you had called out that Ayo Fayose and branded him a fool when he explicitly said on national tv that Seyi Makinde was culpable in the unfortunate Oriire kidnapping. 

Seyi Makinde is the most outstanding politician in Yoruba land today. His support for Tinubu enabled many of us join the Tinubu train in 2023. 

At a time when some of the most dubious politicians in the land are feasting on the blood of the people, aided and abetted by a Parliament of Owls, Seyi Makinde represents very fresh air. 

Frankly, I am beginning to believe that if I see Goodluck Jonathan and Seyi Makinde on the ballot, I may vote for Seyi Makinde instead. 

I am enjoying his guts. Someone like him can control Nigeria, tame the politicians, militarize the military, rejig the architecture of internal policing in Nigeria, equip our national defence forces to protect Nigeria from internal and external threats and begin a  re-dedication of national energy towards national well being prosperity.

For your information, I'm not pro-Tinubu. I'm simply pro-good governance, delivery of dividend of democracy and common sense. And by the way, neither am I a fan of Mr stomach infrastructure, Ayo Fayose.

Because you claimed before that you knew Seyi Makinde when he was doing business in PH, doesn't make him an outstanding politician. Neither should anybody kowtow your stand.

I'm do not care who or what made you vote for Tinubu nor do I care whether you choose to vote for Makinde or Goodluck, that's your prerogative.

Give it to the guy (Makinde) that he has done a lot of positive infrastructural development in Oyo state(mainly Ibadan) during his tenure as government. On that basis, I will applaud him.

For one to be asking the UN to come and do independent investigation of kidnapping that occurred within your sphere of influence is clear sign of irresponsibility and incompetence on your part. Shouldn't the governor be able to set up an independent investigative panel as the Numero uno citizen of Oyo state?

I don't understand how some Nigerians think. Instead of holding your government responsible for governance, some of you guys still have that inferiority complex of any foreign foreign intervention, whether it is the UN, the US, UK et al.

GK, ambiguity in some of the claims you guys make is what I also find depressing. Seyi Makinde is one of the most outstanding politician in the SW, a breath of fresh air.....da da da. On a hat basis did you judge?
Making assertions without backing it without evidentiary facts is baseless.

Isn't the same Makinde the one who collected N50billion federal government assistance fund from the federal government for the bomb blast in Old Bodija GRA in Ibadan and remained silent about it until he was outed by Mr Stomach Infrastructure himself, Ayo Fayose?

Come on, let's not be dogmatic or sentimental about Nigerian political players. Just state the facts you see and tell us your analysis, and let people interrogate you on your own personal inference.
