I'm an Italian happy user of MLO.
I like it the way it is and I've tried many software before buying MLO.
OneAlert is a great companion too.

Of course there are some things I'd like to see in the future like
international version (italian of course) or a LINUX version (a web
version would be enough)
I know it's hard to do so I don't ASK.

The only thing I sometimes find dangerous using MLO is not having a
confirmation box for deleting (DEL key)
I sometimes press it by error. Do you always remenber what was written?
(I don't)
Or just think when your partner is cleaning your keyboard!!!!!!!
Fortunately mine don't do it so often but....

So that's my only request (maybe just a xmas present)

Thank you.

Hi Valerio,

We have had a discussion about confirmations before and there were basically
two camps for and against.

Personally I don't mind confirmations as long as there is an option to
switch them off if desired. It would drive me bonkers if I had to confirm
deletion of a task each and every time.

Perhaps AutoHotkey users out there might be able to write a script to trap
the pressing of the delete key when the MLO window is active? I don't know
if that is possible but it might be, so it might be worth posting a new
message with - AutoHotkey - in the title and requesting it. Just an idea
for the short term.

Regards

Steve

Isn't this what "undo" is for?

Covered the auto-backup feature (-:

+1 - the norm in windows software has moved away from a delete
confirmation replacing with undo and history thats many items deep
(preferably infinite, at least 15 items).

I have no objection to do this as long as there is an option to turn this
off/on.

However, we do have an excellent undo feature that you can use to get this
back.

Personally, it's not high on my priority given the undo feature.

Take care,

Ken

Then the appropriate fix is to make it multi level.

Backups.

Actually you're not wrong, an option to prompt is certainly a
reasonable request.

As far as I know undo in MLO is multi-level.

You can do a simple test to confirm if you want.

As I said earlier, as long as there is an option to turn it off/on, it would
be fine.

However, it seems for most of us, it's not a high priority though.

THAT'S IT!

In fact how do you know that you have to "undo" or to restore a backup
if you don't know you have deleted something !

Of course if you have 2 or 3 record you can realize that.
But what if you have 50 or maybe 100 expyring far away in the future?
Maybe you can discover that something is missing a few month later.

I agree it could be an option that you can enable if you want.

Ciao, Valerio

Is there any development regarding this?

Thank you

This is another eleven year old issue. It involved among other things a request for confirmation before delete, which was replaced by a request for multi-level undo. At the time you could undo only the single most recent change. I tested this and found that undo in MLO/Windows is now multilayer, I verified that there are at least two layers of undo. There are probably a lot more, but I would suggest that whoever wants to know how many layers there are could test it themselves and tell us the result.

Hi friend

Download and install autohotkey. When done, let me know in this thread, and I'll post here a simple autohotkey script which will show you a confirmation box.
