Hello, my name is Vincenzo and I write from Italy. I have recently updated my PRO version of the MLO to version 5. Immediately after the installation I encountered the following problem: after a few seconds the opening of the program, the application stops responding to any command of the keyboard or mouse and I am forced to close it with the windows task manager. I specify that I use your program on a desktop PC Hp with Intel 5, 16 GB of RAM and Windows 7 pro. Before the upgrade to version 5, the MLO worked perfectly. I am waiting for a solution to the problem.
Best regards
Vincenzo

Hello Vincenzo,

Thank you for raising your concerns in the matter. We have received similar complaints from other users and now we're trying to collect as much useful information as possible in this regard. We hope for your cooperation in the matter.
There are a few questions that we hope will help us to sort it out:
  • if you create a new blank .ml file, will the app lock up?
  • will the app lock up if you reinstall the app, create a new test file without an activation key. What happens after you enter the activation key?
  • if you leave the locked up app for 15 minutes approximately will an error show up? Please send us a screenshot
  • if you turn off your antivirus software does the issue occur?
  • please send us the logs: MLO- >Tools- >Options- >Troubleshooting- >Export Logs- >Send a received archive to MLO support (sup...@mylifeorganized.net)
Thank you!

Alyona,

I think I'm getting the same issue. I'll try to get the data you asked
for, but in the meantime here are some other behaviours that may give
you a clue as to the cause:

It's a registered, activated MLO5 Pro running on Windows 7 Pro.

Left-mouse clicks and keyboard actions are ignored. But right-mouse
clicks do work.

It seems to "lock up" during periods of inactivity. That is, it's never
stopped responding while I've been actively using the program.

I usually have two separate MLO data files open (two simultaneous
instances of MLO). This - so far - has only affected one, at it's always
been the same file.

I can right-click on the program's instance on the task bar and Close.
MLO then closes OK. i.e. there's no application not responding.

On the data file that stops responding, I have two sync jobs registered
(one to local file, one to Cloud Sync) but neither is marked as quick
sync. I have no internet connection active on machine in question - the
adapter is disabled.

This only happens at work. At home, I use the same two data files, same
two instances of MLO, but with these differences: the Cloud Sync is
flagged for Quick Sync. I do have a constant internet connection. It's
running on XP Pro (no laughing at the back).

Thank you for the provided details, Vincenzo. The developers are looking into the issue. I've deleted your message due to security reasons (the logs contain registration information) and contacted you privately.
