On android it easy to add a task from a hyperlink, using send to, or share link from the browser. But on the desktop this desirable functionality is missing. 

I realise you share a link from android and then use sync, but working with a smartphone is inconvenient .    

Many years ago "Kudos" posted a set of AutoHotkeys macros for doing certain things with MLO,  including pasting tasks from the browser to a URL in the notes.

Is anyone doing this in a roundabout way.  I use it for research.  I have tried using the original autohotkeys  file found on my old desktop but it did not work as well as before in my browser. 

Any thoughts?
