The file I saved yesterday won't open b/c it is an "Invalid File Format"!! Help!

Had to reboot the system yesterday (Win 8.1) and, when trying to reopen my MLO file, I get an error message saying that it cannot be opened due to an "Invalid File Format."  None of the backfiles open either.  I've checked to make sure I have the latest version of MLO and I do.  Now I'm stumped.
