I really like a lot of the concepts in MLO. However, synch just does not work for me. My task is limited to just two ios devices. Not too complicated I would not that.

I created a new synch file to be sure that both machines were synching to the same file. Nothing synched.

Then I went to SUPPORT to find help. To my surprise, I found all the support was the user base. My question is a newbie-user install question I think. But there is not even real support for that as far as I can see.

AND on top of that, I was not offered ANY place for this post to attached but to my public Gmail account/ When I never use. I was not offered the chance to edit/change the email listing I would have used.

All of this tell me that although the concept of MLO at the 40000 ft level is pretty interesting, that this company has a ways to go to gain and keep a user base. So... I am going back to Omni Focus..

I may come back in a year of so and see if problems that I have encountered, in particular, the problem of no apparent dedicated support, have been solved.

And no I am not a very happy camper now. I just wasted an entire morning figuring out how to start with MLO only to find it won't synch, at least I cannot make it synch, and for me that makes it worthless/

Hello Jon,

We are very sorry to hear about the negative experience you had with us. We do strive to provide a positive experience to every MLO user. However, as it turns out, in this case we have failed in providing you with the proper service and first I would like to apologize for that. Second, I wish to rectify the situation, if possible.

Since I have failed to locate your emails in our system (another email address used?), please forward the emails to sup...@mylifeorganized.net  so that I can look deeper into this.

Thank you!

Here is my opinion. Anyone can correct me: There are 2 ways to sync, WiFi and Cloud. My own opinion is to use cloud, although WiFi does work fine. With Cloud sync, there is a "mothership" somewhere up there in the cloud. You have to have a cloud password and you have to pay for the use of the cloud. So if you have 2 IOS devices, either one can sync with the cloud (thank you mothership). At any given time, your IOS is running something called a profile, and the profile has a menu where you decide what file to sync with.

Hello Jon,
When you come back and see this, in a year, I'd recommend that you give it another go. This Google group isn't the only support, although it's a pretty friendly forum and we're happy to help out. There is a support email address, as well, and I've always found Alyona and Andrey responsive, for when I had a problem that the forum couldn't solve.

Regarding synch, you didn't give many details of what you were trying. You can't do WiFi synch between two iOS devices - that only works between iOS and a Windows PC. Best solution is cloud synch (which uses Amazon web services, so it supposed to be pretty secure storage, but doesn't have encryption for transfer of data to the servers - just be aware of that). For this you have to pay a nominal monthly fee. I haven't tried cloud synch yet, so can't help you with setting it up, but the support email address or other users on the forum should be able to help you.
