I couldn't find anything on this.  I'm hoping that there is a simple fix.

Some how my "All tasks" view was modified to include the text filter, title contains j.

I don't see any way to reset this since I can't save the "All tasks" view.

Any thoughts?

Hello Daniel. I can't repeat your problem - as you say, MLO doesn't let you modify a pre-defined view. The only things I can think are:

1) Somehow the MLO settings have been corrupted. If that's the case, the quickest solution is probably to reinstall MLO.
2) Are you absolutely sure that you're looking at the pre-defined "All tasks" view and that you haven't done something like saving a view with almost the same name, but with perhaps an extra space.

Hope you manage to get it fixed.

If you're on Windows (depending on what is currently displayed you might not need all of these steps)

From menu: View > Tasks View Pane  (or press alt-f1)

On the left, the Views pane should appear.

At bottom of Views pane, click "Filter"

now all the filter criterion should appear (including the text filter).

At bottom of Filter section in the Views pane, click "Discard Changes."

Stéph:

I don't know initial issue. However, if the "lock default in this tab" option (in the context menu, seen by right-clicking on the tab) is not selected then, filters can be applied. Doing this (to oneself) leads to user confusion and frustration. I have done this to myself multiple times. (I found this option today)

cheers,
..jason

I'm thinking it's corrupt.  So the "All Tasks" view defaults to having a "j" in the text filter box.  If I remove it, the option "Discard Changes" button becomes active.  If I try to save it I get the message "You are not allowed to change the settings of a predefined view..."

If I open the "New from template..." or "Move to..." diaglogs the "j" filter is already applied.

Maybe I'll try to reinstall it this weekend.
