Don't understand mechanism behind ^Acknowledge a hot spot *subtasks* visibility

I'm trying to make sense of how the Hot Spots and PRN thing works. I understand why checking the subtask off activates the recurring task - that follows the rule about not showing a task that has open subtasks. What I *don't * understand is why the subtask itself doesn't show up in Task Lists? I assumed that the views were set up to not show that context ^Acknowledge a hot spot - but that doesn't seem to be the case - so what keeps the subtask from showing up when it is incomplete?

Hi, Ultraindianguy. I see that nobody ever replied to your post. My problem (and maybe other people have the same problem) is that I really don't know what you are talking about. I am pretty good at understanding why some tasks get displayed and others don't in a particular view. But I don't know what hot spots or PRN has to do with it. Is there some special profile built on MLO that deals with hot spots and PRN?
