UPDATE: This version has been released to Google Play. The link to the beta has been removed.

---
We have just released the first public beta version with PUSH sync functionality on Android. If you want to try it, just install this beta from the link below over your current MLO-Android version.

The link to the public beta with PUSH sync on android:
<link removed - beta released to Google Play>

How to configure PUSH to work
1. Install new public beta over your current version or as new installation (third party apk installation permission should be ON on your Android to install the apk)
2. In MLO settings switch ON push and autosync (Settings->Synchronization->Cloud)
3. Change any task in MLO-Android and perform one manual cloud sync to register your device for PUSH on cloud.
4. From this point completely forget about any manual sync with MLO cloud on your android.

Once final version is released you can install it over this beta normally.

A few nice facts about new PUSH sync in MLO on Android:
- all changes will be delivered to MLO-Android in 10-20 sec after you synced them to the cloud from other devices.
- if no Internet connection on your Android device that time then the changes will be delivered once connection is restored
- if you made any changes in MLO-Android while it was offline then they will be delivered to MLO cloud in background once connection is restored (no need to run MLO)
- the sync will work for any MLO-Android profile (not only for active profile)

As I said no need to bother about cloud sync on MLO-Android anymore at all. It is fully automatic now.

Please let me know in comments if new PUSH sync works for your.

Important note:
1) It is NOT needed to install this public beta for the beta team.
2) It is NOT needed to install this public beta if we sent you other beta personally to fix bugs like keyboard problem. We will inform you when you can upgrade to the public release with your fix included to it.

I have tried the cloud sync for about a year.

Honestly saying I figure that it would be better if this feature was naturally incorporated instead of being paid.

The reason why I did not renewed my subscription it's because I don't think it's reasonable to pay for a so basic feature in the world of Cloud-based apps.

And more, the price paid for the app is not reasonable for many potential users and much more, the addiction of this periodic subscription neither.

Regarding this, I would suggest the MLO team to free this feature and I bet the number of users will grow up.

And this beta version for me is hooked in the same opinion.

Hi MG,

From my experience the best products often have higher price. Sorry but the price of our app is not a subject of this thread. You can create new thread and let us know why you think our app and services should be free, compare MLO to other best free apps you would use instead and why.

All:
Now back to the topic. Did anyone try the push sync on MLO-Android? Does it work for you as expected?

Thanks,
Andrey

Hi Andrey.

BOTTOM LINE: Android should sync automatically to cloud every 5 to 15 minutes.

DETAIL:
I have push sync tunrned on, yet doesn't know what it does.  Rather than confuse you and everyone else, I'll tell you what I think sync should do, and why.

I keep 2 files in 2 places, called work.ml and personal.ml.  If I'm remote without my laptop I use work.ml on my tablet.  If I'm in the office and taking a break, I use personal.ml on the laptop.  Etcetera.

Anyway, I want these two files to "talk" to each other periodically, automatically.   So that if I'm working remotely on my tablet on work.ml, it periodically tells the latop (via cloud of course) what changes are made.  So that when I turn on my laptop I'm assured that what I see is for the most part what I last worked on remotely on the tablet.

I said "for the most part" because I realie the sync shouldn't occur more than every 5-15 minutes, so I may have a task or two not synced, which is acceptable.

Presently - and correct me if I'm wrong - to do this I have to click the cloud icon on the tablet anytime I want to be assured that it syncs to cloud.  (The desktop does it perfectly, syncing automatically periodically).  Many times, unfortunately, I work on my tablet, turn it off, and then realize I never synced, forcing me to turn it back on.

Yes I did! Yesterday I basically tested the push sync and it works.
Surprisingly, today I received a Pause message (I do not remember the exact words but) with this meaning: "to preserve your battery the auto sync has been paused due to a lot of tasks modified". I had not the feeling of having modified too many tasks...
I restarted the auto cloud sync and until now all seems ok.

I agree with Andrey, the price etc. is off-topic for this thread.
I agree that sync feature is becoming an "everyday thing" as most apps are cloud connected today. But I will say that I am happy to ONLY have to pay a cheap subscription for this, as opposed to having the full license of MLO being subscription based. Something a lot of vendors are moving towards.
Besides, if someone wants to go low budget, there is still the Wifi sync option. It was a great way for me to get started. There is a "psychological barrier" to signing up for a recurring expense.
