How to use the directional button to navigate through tasks and projects?

I am using MLO 3 on Huawei M5 Tablet. I would like to use the up down button to navi through tasks and right button to open projects. I used that before but it seems I cannot get it back again even though I reinstalled the app. Help.

In fact it has never worked in the app. But the developers have confirmed that it is in development now.
