Is it possible to do sorting inside a folder inside a view?

I have created a view and in that view set it to only display one folder. In that folder are 4 other folders.

Is it possible inside this view to sort the tasks inside one of the 4 different folders?

the sorting, I am trying to do is by importance, then by star, then by due date.

Thanks,

Dwight

Hi, Theranman. I'm going to describe a couple of ways of doing this.  Maybe the overview will give you enough information to do what you want. If not, come back here and tell me which approach you want to use and I will give you the steps to create it.
In a hierarchical (outline) view,  MLO applies the sort to only one level.  By default it is applied at the top level. Here are two ways to get past that.

You could flip the default so that the bottom level is the one that gets sorted. In the view definition panel at left, ensure that Display Hierarchy is on then select Config. Enable parents and disable children. This tells MLO that the items that are really making up the report (and therefore the ones that should be sorted) are the ones at the bottom,  and thay the parents were just brought along for display. Disadvantage of this approach: the higher level folders will be in random order.

Or you could go for a flat (non-hierarchical) view and use grouping, but set it up to group by parent. This allows you to control the sort at each level but you might find that you have five groups, one for each of your four folders, and ome more showing the four folders and their parent.  You could eliminate this extra group by adding an advanced filter that excludes folders.
