The usual way I know of to do a workaround for this kind of thing on Windows is

I'd love if the devs would allow some timer option, but perhaps Google detects doing that as malicious activity.
I'd love it even more if the calendar sync could be done on Android. Even just one way MLO to Calendar would be awesome.
But I think not much time is probably spent on this as MLO is very intertwined with GTD, and in GTD calendars are never used as a place to hold todo items, only immovable appointments, the "hard landscape"
