SMTP for gmail

Suddenly I'm getting error messages from Gmail about MLO reminders sent there. Can someone point me to the correct procedure to use so that email reminders can be sent to my Gmail account?

Currently set as:
Port: 465
I have (or had!) an app password set.

The error message from MLO points me to https://support.google.com/mail/?p=BadCredentialsi35-20020a056638382300b003a607dccd1bsm1891925j-gsmtp, but that just leads to a general Gmail support page.

Could it be related to Google forcing 2FA these days? I've had similar issues, re-authenticated (complete with 2FA) and was in the clear again.
