Everything was working up until today when I tried to open up MLO and was greeted with the following error message

"Could not open this data file. Please check if you have access permissions to it. The data file should not be read only. Invalid file -  not a PKZip file."

any idea what happened?

Hi Kenny,
Sometimes due to software or hardware issues the files can be corrupted. The best way to resolve this issue is to restore from the backup copy.

A file corruption has happened to me once since 2012. Although MLO is very reliable, it's definitely worth making sure you're keeping regular backups, then recovery can be quite easy.

I was able to fully recover since it was backed up in the cloud. It's just scary. I just opened a backup and synchronized and it all came back.
