This is still an issue, 8 years later. Basically if you try to change the capitalization of a view for example changing 'myview' to 'Myview' in the windows version then you get the error.

I ran into that problem a while ago.

Here is how it’s done.

 

Also attached is a video of doing the renaming.

 

Instructions:

Rename the “my view” to “my view 1” (any change, as long as the same words are NOT used!)

Now, rename “my view 1” to “My View”.

Done.
