I deleted many tasks on Mobile
isn't there a Recycle Bin in MLO?
It's weird I found out there is neither on PC

Idk how to restore data(old o few hours ago)
Should I backup(save them) to the cloud(OneDrive/Dropbox/other stuff)?For safety!
Waiting for a reply
Thanks

There is no Recycle Bin in MLO. You can use "Undo" for recent actions.

It is possible to manually backup data on Mobile. Auto-backup is available on desktop only.

On each ’save’ action MLO-desktop creates a backup file so you can always open it if there are any problems with the main file. Backup files might be created in 2 two possible places:

- If advanced backup is enabled MLO creates the backup copy in the location specified in the configuration under ’Tools’ > ’Options’> ’Backup’.
- If advanced backup is disabled, MLO automatically creates the copy in the same folder where your main data file is located

The backup file has the same name as a data file has but with .bak extension. Open this file in MLO-desktop and select ’Save as..’ to save your data in .ml format.

If you want to go back to the way your tasks looked a few hours ago and you can find the backup file, you should (as Alyona said) open the backup and save it as a .ml file somewhere convenient. But maybe you have other changes you made in the last few hours that you want to save. In that case:

1. Open the backup file in MLO

2. holding down CTRL while clicking on each task. select all the tasks that you want to restore

3. with the mouse pointer over one of your selected tasks, right-click to bring up the popup menu

4. select "Copy task(s)" from the menu.

5. open the .ml file you have been using, in MLO

6. find someplace convenient, point to it with your mouse, right-click, and select "Paste task(s)"

7. drag each restored task to where it belongs in your hierarchy.

8. If the restored tasks had been deleted from your working file, you might be done. If it's just that you modified or completed them inappropriately, you may have to delete the no-longer-wanted version of the restores tasks

Pro Tip:

turn on tools>options>General Application Options>Behaviour>Allow multiple instances and then open the work file and the backup file in side-by-side windows, use your mouse to drag tasks out of the backup file and drop them into the work file. It's probably better to use "copy" versus "move" just in case you need to do it again, hold down CTRL while dragging and dropping tasks to get COPY action.
