Hi Everyone,

As an android user eagerly waiting to see new MLO for Android app, I have few questions about new MLO for iPhone v.2 app (as I suppose Android version will be very much alike). Particularly I'm interested in:
  • if sync through official MLO sync service works really flawlessly. No manual actions are required from user? Can user specify a sync interval?
  • do the location based reminders work correctly? In our current Android app they DO work, though they trigger all the time when you move along the destinated location. Literally, you get one a reminder about the task every few seconds. Of course it makes them very annoying and personaly I decided not to use them anymore. I believe they should be more inteligent and not disturb the user every few second, even if it thinks the user wend out and back in again in a matter of few seconds. How do they work in iPhone v.2 app?
Many thanks in advance.

Robert

Hi I use the iPad V2 version;

I can only comment on the 1st part of your question.  So the sync works well, without any need for manual intervention - apart from if there is a conflict to be resolved - which is easily handled or if you plan to shut the device down, and want to make sure any changes are synced immediately.  There are no option to control the sync frequency.

I don't use location based reminders on my Android phone - for the same reason as you.  Could try then out on the iPad I guess.

Hi Mark,

Thank you for your feedback!
If you could take your iPad out and check it, I would be extremly appreciated. I'm not sure if iPad has a built-in GPS or not though.
If you manage to carry out this test please post your findings up here! Thank you in advance.

Hello Robert

About the GPS, here is a thread about it
https://discussions.apple.com/thread/2769338?start=60&tstart=0

According to that thread, only iPad 3g series have a real GPS chip inside, other IPads are using the information offered by the wifi module.

Best regards
