Hi All,

I have searched this forum looking for an answer to my question unsuccessfully, so if it is already posted out there I apologize.

I have previously been running the latest version of MLO on a windows 8 laptop.

Previously I have been dragging my outlook 2013 emails into MLO and this then creates a link in the MLO task, that once clicked, reopens the email.  Unlike other posts, my emails still opened even after I had moved them to a new outlook folder - however this is not the issue.

1 month ago I upgraded to windows 8.1 - nothing else changed.  Now when I drag an email to MLO and click the email links, MLO returns the following error, regardless if the email is in the original folder from where I dragged it or if is has been moved to a new folder. The error is:

"Could not execute Outlook0000000000 (bunch of numbers) There is no application associated with the given file name extension"

As this is one of the main features I use, it has made MLO virtually useless to me!

I am very computer savvy and have tried everything other than uninstalling and re-installing MLO.

I am hoping someone else has experienced this issue and been able to resolve it?

I look forward to any suggestions.  Thanks in advance.

Jason Graham.

Hi, Jason. I can't comment on your issue because I have no experience with Windows 8. But it does sound like a bug. If you are not getting the answers you need from this user forum, you could try reporting it to the support people at MLO, by sending them an email at sup...@mylifeorganized.net
Good luck

Thanks Alexandra and Dwight.

Most of those link aply to syncing with Outlook, which I don't do.

I try sending an email to MLO support and will post back here once I get a response. Thanks again!

It looks like Outlook 2013 doesn't register an outlook protocol anymore. Take a look on this article to solve that - https://it.knightnet.org.uk/2014/06/outlook-2013-url-protocol-handler.html

Hi Jason,

I'm not able to give you any advice to fix your problem but just for information, i don't experience the same problem.
I'm using MLO-Windows on windows10 with office 2013 64bits and the drag and drop works fine for me.

Regards, Alex
