Are there any plans to add a feature to assign a task to a different MLO user? Currently we have to use todoist or Microsoft to-do to accomplish this. Seems most of the to-do apps now have this feature. Any plans on adding it to MLO?

This is also something I'd like to see added to the desktop APP and have been hopeful for the past year.

Seems like MLO team is currently focused on Web Version; hopefully this feature is being considered as having ability to use MLO in a team multi user environment would further take this app to the next level.

Personally I am not a fan of the cloud for data security reasons which becomes more concerning in a business environment. I would rather see a network based sync tool and have all run locally. I would gladly pay a yearly update/subscription fee for the tool as opposed to having to use third party cloud even if its AWS, and I am sure many others that are security conscious would agree.

Seemed like an easy question for MLO support. Guess not. Does MLO support monitor the forums? If not, what is the best way to contact them?

Yes, they are actively monitoring the forum. You can see user:  Alyona (MLO Support) posts. For some reason MLO seems very careful as commenting on feature development roadmap (other than their website blog from time to time). Would definitely be nice to see updates on feature development roadmap. I know that web version is being developed but would be nice to know if feature development continues for desktop version. Year passed since major desktop release without any feature releases so not sure if development of desktop has stopped in order to focus on web or continues with separate teams.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts and suggestions.

MLO was originally designed as a personal use tool, and collaboration is possible in a limited capacity using the methods outlined here: Sharing Tasks.

We agree that collaboration features would be a great addition to the app. We’re open to feedback and ideas on how this could be implemented.

You're absolutely right that our current focus is on launching the web version of MLO. Rest assured, we’ll continue developing our native apps, including the desktop version. When there’s news to share, we’ll announce it through our blog and newsletter to keep everyone informed.

We do monitor the forum, but if you have an urgent or important issue that requires our assistance, the best way to get in touch with us is via email at sup...@mylifeorganized.net.

Alyona, in regards to your comment about being open to feedback and ideas how sharing of tasks can be implemented in team environment; if the team is truly considering this as an option I highly recommend reviewing Asana. In my opinion Asana has done a great job for "team" project task management and can offer many useful ideas. Some of the cool features include automations enabling you to automate if user X marks task status as A, then do B etc... In addition I think it is worth reviewing their platform as it may also offer other useful ideas for the web version you are currently using. Most important however is that MLO remains to its tradition as currently for personal management it is a phenomenal tool.
