Hi,

Is there automatic sync with Cloud Sync?

I have desktop and iPhone MLO and it seems like I need to press the sync button on both sides to get them synced.
I read that there is auto sync but couldn't see it working.

Maybe it takes long time to get synced? Is there a way to configure that period of time?
Is it working on both desktop and mobile?

I even think I saw on the desktop the icon changing to reflect that there are changes pending but I had to press to get it to sync.

Thanks

I'm finding the same thing - I never really had to think about syncing either Desktop or iPhone, but now the Desktop sync doesn't seem to happen automatically.

My MLO starts automatically with Windows 10, and I use it frequently, but yet when I check my iPhone, there are tasks from 36h ago which are in my Desktop Inbox but not on my iPhone inbox. When I press f9 Sync on my desktop, the tasks suddenly appear, indicating that the issue seems to be with the desktop rather than the iPhone. This has been happening for at least a week.

I suspect it could be an issue with the Desktop client, possibly the way it works in Windows 10 or even with a recent Windows update that was pushed through?

My Windows 10 is working OK for auto sync.  Make sure you've checked the "Sync automatically this cloud profile" box.

The rules are:
Here is the full algorithm of the autosync in MyLifeOrganized for Windows.

1. When MLO is started (or new data file is opened) the check for the cloud changes initiated. If there are cloud changes the autosync is started immediately (to get modifications from the cloud before you start working with MLO on desktop).

2. When MLO is being closed (or current data file is being closed) and there are local modifications the autosync is started (to send local modifications to the cloud).

3. If MLO is running and there is full inactivity on your computer for 8-10 min and there are local modifications the autosync is started (to send the local modifications to the cloud after you have already left your computer).

4. If MLO is running and there was inactivity on your computer for more than 10 min and you started using the computer after this long inactivity the check for the cloud changes initiated. If there are cloud changes the autosync is started (to get possible modifications from the cloud before you continue working with MLO on desktop)

5. If MLO is running but has not been used for more than 10 min and you started using MLO after this long delay the check for the cloud changes initiated. If there are cloud changes the autosync is started (to get possible modifications from the cloud before you continue working with mlo on desktop)

Regarding iPhone, the development team outlined the Android functionality here with a peek into what's being worked on....seems to be on good authority the iPhone is in queue for this functionality next (one platform usually jumps ahead, then the other catches up and adds something new).
