New MLO for Android v2 clears flags

I've discovered what appears to be a bug in MLO for Android v2.  I use both the MLO Desktop Client and MLO for Android, which I just upgraded to v2.  When I sent a flag on a task in the desktop client and then I Sync to MLO Cloud using MLO for Android v2, the flags are being cleared.  This is a problem for me, because I use flags to bring certain tasks and projects into focus.  When the flag is cleared, I loose that focus.

Is there a fix or workaround for this problem?

I just noticed this myself this morning. I only had a few flagged tasks but I noticed the flags were gone from those tasks. Not too much trouble in my case but yes,  this would be terrible for anyone who used flags heavily. Hopefully there's a way to reverse that and retrieve them for those who do.

I confirmed this and reported it to Jira, the bug tracking system used for MLO beta testing,  with a very high priority.

Hi had the same problem.

The following advice from support worked.

"create new profile in MyLifeOrganized 2 for Android and sync it to the same cloud file. After that you will be able to see tasks in By Flag views..."

Thank you for your suggestion.  I created a new profile on my Android and Synced it to the same cloud file.  My flags are still being cleared.

Thank you, Dwight.  Hopefully this will be fixed soon.  Until it's fixed I can't use the Android app since this causes too big of a problem for me.  Maybe I'll downgrade back to MLO 1 for the time being.  It's too bad, the UI is significantly improved in v2.

I have to agree regarding the UI for version 2. It seems like it takes more time to enter a task and do what I need to do than it did in v.1.

How do I install the old version. ( I am having the same issues) Only the new version is on google play

They pushed an update recently (v2.0.16).  After installing the update and creating a new profile, I no longer have this issue.

I have 2.0.1.6 . still does it. I saw it right in front of my eyes happening. I had desktop opened lots of flags. Opened the app on the phone. Clicked sync the flags disappeared. Can some one tell me how to go back to the previous version for my phone. Thanks.

For instructions for reverting to MLO/Android v1 I would suggest
contacting sup...@mylifeorganized.net - it might help if you mention
that this is related to the clearing of flags documented in issue
#MLOBETA-375.

Hi Fischer, did you make sure you had disabled cloud sync in the original profile? I just tested and creating a new profile fixed the issue for me.
