Calendar events synced from gmail/outlook have incorrect reminder time. Is there any setting to change this?

Hi,

I have recently started using MLO and synced the calendar events to desktop and mobile app.
Consider the below example to understand the problem

I have calendar event (meeting) today at 2 PM for 2 hrs, so it ends at 4 PM.
When this even gets synced to desktop/mobile app, the reminder for this app is set to 4 PM and due time is also set to 4 PM.

Moreover in the mobile app I have a widget which shows one of my custom views Today's Focus which shows events at the top.
In this view by default the due time is shown below the event which is quite misleading, as I see this event is happening at 4 PM !!

Is there anyway to change this behavior?

Thanks,
Saurabh

Attached screenshot shows one such event which is planned from 9:30 to 10:30 AM
But when it is synced it shows as 10:30, however I would like to see it as 9:30 which give me the start time of the event and I can plan accordingly.

I had not used the calendar sync yet but this sounds terrible, my end times are not even when it ends but just reserving space in case it lasts longer. So you are saying it assumes we don't want to get to an event until the time it is ending?? I knew they couldn't be good at interpreting how a calendar event should show up as a task, but I didn't think it would be this bad.

I thought that MLO fetched events from the phone’s calendar (which can sync with google cal). I could be wrong.

Well, the google calendar events sync work perfectly for me in both-direction.
and the reminder sync correctly too.

The phone apps don't have calendar sync. Only the desktop does.

Makes me frustrated because there are a lot of times when I'm traveling and have to make changes. I wish Andrey could find a way to add it to mobile because I've been adding a lot of projects and tasks to Todoist which I don't want to do but since I time-block my schedule in my calender and use the Day View as my overview for the day, I have to. Love MLO but it's not keeping up with the times, I'm afraid.
