Calendar post only via Android?

I see that Android version can share with google calendar.

Is the only way to do so via Android, not the Windows Desktop?

i.e. So I have to enter a task on windows desktop, wait for android to sync, open the task on Android, then share it with google?

I believe that is the case.

They would have to cover a lot of PIM's I guess in the Windows direction..

Not so many PIMs out there any more. Having the equivalent functionality on the desktop as is available on the PDA seems a minimal start - why have the desktop at all (in some senses) if you have to go to the PDA anyways. Let alone wait for it to sync up.
