Hello,

If you're using Outlook 10, then Microsoft (in their wisdom) have now disabled support for links from external programs.

If you do an Internet search, you'll find it's possible to bring back this feature, but only if you carry out a registry edit (which I can't do on my company laptop).

Hi, Mark. It works fine for me.
(Stéph, I am using Outlook 14.0.7106.5003 from MSOffice Professional Plus 2010)
Here's what I do. Please follow these steps and tell me where your results differ from mine.
1. Open MLO and Outlook each in a half-screen view, so they are both onscreen at once. Open the inbox view in both programs.
2. In Outlook, click-and-hold some item from the Outlook inbox. Result: drag&drop of the selected item is initialized.
3. drag the item to the MLO inbox. position it between two existing items in the MLO inbox until a red line appears between the two items and release. Result: new item appears in the MLO inbox.
4. click on the new item in the MLO inbox to select it. in MLO's right-hand pane, check if task properties are visible. If so, click the "properties" header bar to clear properties from the display. Result: task note is displayed.
5. click on the blue Outlook link in the task notes. If a message is displayed about a program wanting access to Outlook, allow it. Result: the Outlook item you selected in step 2 opens in a new window.
