Multiple machines, multiple email reminders

I suspect this is simple and I'm just missing something . . . 

I have MLO on multiple machines. I've been getting email reminders from both of them. I got tired of being nagged, so I just removed the email information from the Tools:Options:Email account page on my laptop. Now it's popping out error messages telling me that it can't send email! Is there a simple way to get email from only one machine without having the other complain?

Nice to know it's not only me facing that problem.

I tried turning off reminders on one box. But that synched to all boxes, so no reminders at all!

I await the "answer".
