Hi all,

Fumbled my phone whilst trying to delete an entry that I accidentally added as a folder instead of a task whilst on a train, inadvertently deleted something else that I don't know what it was, but every task is important.

Is there a trash/garbage area in MLO?

You can try using the “undo” function. Also, for the future, search this forum for the entry from Dwight about creating a “last 48 hours” view to address this very thing.

Thanks for the mention. Unfortunately, the right answer in this case is undo. The last 48 hours view helps you fix tasks that you have mangled, but if yóu have actually deleted the task then it's not in your task list at all, so it won't show up in the last 48 hours view or any other view.

You can bring of a backup, copy the task from the backup and paste it into your task list. But only if you are actually taking backups and if you can recognize the desired task when you see it, which sounds unlikely this time.

As much as I love MLO, I've always wonder why this part of development was left behind. My data file shows (775) deleted items in a trashcan that I not only can't restore but not empty either?
