I had to get a new Android phone and now my MLO Android V1.9 has updated to V 3 - but I want to go back to my Android V 1.9

I have my registration code for V1.9 android, but when I try to update it to go back to my preferred version - it says that the code is for an older version and so      it  will not work...

I will even be willing to pay the $29 - but I do NOT want version 3 - I have used V 1.9 for so many years and I am so used to using it all day long every day - and so for that reason, I do not want to be upgraded to version 3.

Thank You,

Steve

Steve, you he MLO website offers downloads of MLO/Android versions: 1.6.5, 1.6.9, 1.6.10, 1.6.14 and 1.6.15
Then 2.0
Are you sure 1.9 is the correct version number that you want?

At https://www.mylifeorganized.net/todo-list-android.shtml there is a section called Additional Downloads which suggests that if you want version 1 you should download 1.6.15 and gives some suggestions for installation.

Thank you so much Dwight !!!!! I am sorry that I got the numbers reversed. The version that I have is 1.6.9 NOT 1.9.6.

Anyway - I have decided that I will spend a few days or a week working with the new V. 3 that accidentally got downloaded on to my phone. Then - it says that it will stop working in 29 days from now. So - if I cannot understand this new version by then - I will take your advice and re-install version 1.6.9.

I have had MLO for many, many years - probably at least 9 years or so, and I use it probably 8 to 10 hours every day. I have all the information from my entire life in my MLO. I think I have almost 5000 items / tasks in my MLO !!!

Thanks for your wonderful help. Hopefully I will get to understand the new Version 3 before it expires and then I can just purchase it rather than going back to my old version.

Hi Steve

Like you I’ve used MLO for probably a decade. I still find myself struggling to fully grasp all the features, new and long standing. However, I’ve always found the team to make excellent choices even if it strains my limits of adaptability. It’s a powerful, flexible, well designed tool. The new features might be worth your time investment - though I fully understand this was an unplanned emergent change to the tool you use to organize your life. As Dwight noted you can roll-back. I’m just here to share my personal experience that it may be worth the effort to give the newer version a shot.

I use MLO on Android, Windows and most recently a new iPad - and only scratch the surface of its potential.

Hi Robert,

Thanks - Yes, you and me seem to have done the same thing for more than 10 years. I know that MLO is Great - it is what keeps me totaly in touch with everything about my life. I use it on Android, Windows, and I used to use it on a Blackberry phone too.

From what you and the guy from MLO told me, I am going to keep working on the new Android version for as long as I can - I think I have about 24 more days to use it before I have to decide to keep the new version or drop back on to my Version 1 Android.

I have a pretty good feeling that I will get to feel great with the new version.

Thanks Robert,

Steve
