I'd love to get complete control over computed-score and be able to customize it using a bunch of different parameters outside the classics (importance/urgency) e.g. Time required. Is there a way we can get to geek out a little, (think "Advanced Filter", which to me perfectly represents the spirit of MLO). I love the idea of computed-score but I feel it's too limited and not very likely to be used the way it is right now. It needs to offer complete control over the algorithm so that it fits any specific workflow. Different users will value different sets of parameters and even the way in which they affect the score (e.g. they have been complaints on this group about Start Date or No Due Dates as they relate to computed-score) The selling point of MLO is precisely that of full control and customization.

P.S. Also please take into account dependencies when calculatin computed-score.

Thanks! I look forward to MLO 6. I'm a very avid user.

I love your suggestion. One tweak: I might need a different algorithm for "what should I do next" versus "am I about to miss something important" versus "are there some tasks here that I do not need any more?"

I would like to be able to specify a separate computed-score algorithm for each view.

I agree!

Especially with the “advanced filter [computed score]” setting.

While I trust computed score, I’ve NEVER understood it, for one reason: When I see an overdue task at the bottom of to-do list, and check it off as done, it bounces to the top!   I’ve long wondered (and asked) “How can a timely task be more pressing than an overdue one?” So, my ability to set computed score, with sliders for Importance, urgency, start date, End date, goals (considering monthly and yearly as well) would be plus.  I’d use it.

Haha even if it weren’t as scientific, at least I’d know what it’s doing!
