I'm having some issues seeing the info I need, which may simply be the result of my not setting things up properly, so here's one for the brain-trust:
Bearing in mind that 90-something% of my MLO usage is on iOS, I have a Focus view set up as a flat list (because I need to sort by Computed-Score) like so:
Action Filter - Available AND
Advanced Filter - No start or due date, OR Start or Due dates on or before Today + 7 AND
Contacts are actionable (no reason to get into the details of that) AND
Project Status = "In Progress"
Group By Top Level Folder (which is always also a Project)
Sort by Project, Starred (desc), Computed-Score (desc)
The above works perfectly for my needs, as far as inclusion of the items I want to see goes. However, since the appearance settings only let me see "Date + Contexts" or "Date + Project", and Contexts are crucially important for me to see, I constantly end up with tasks like "Get approval from ...." or "Discuss options with..." but I have no idea what the subject is, because the subject is the project or parent name. So I'm left with having find my focus tasks using this view, then switch over to a hierarchical view to see the parent info (which may then tell me enough info that I now know I don't want to work on this yet), or put enough parent info into tasks or sub-tasks to identify the topic (which is tedious and takes up space that I really need to describe the task.
Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Mark
