Duplicated recurring items after sync from iPad

I'm finding every day (for a few months now) that when I sync the first time each day that my daily recurring items (that have reminders set) end up duplicating on the Windows MLO file.  Nothing the other way around.  I then, in the Windows file, mark the duplications "complete" and all is well... for the next 24 hours.

It's an annoyance I've learned to live with (while waiting for MLO iPad 2), but if there is a quick fix someone knows about, I would greatly appreciate it.
