Start Date & Due date are locked together: Both change simultaneously

I suddenly have a situation where the Start Date and Due Date seem to be locked. If I change one, the other changes. I can't have different dates in the 2 fields.

never seen the exact problem (in both directions) but I know if the start date is set beyond due date it makes due date the same, and if you set due date before start, the start date is made the same.

For obvious reasons of course.

You probably have "lock period" checked.

There's a little box called "Lock Period" just below Due Date & Lead Time. Uncheck this box and the dates are independent.
