I'm working with an MvBase3 company.  We can't find any way to change the default font on this printer. We can change it by putting PCL commands in each report, but we have over 1000 reports.  It goes back to the default font every time we close the printer.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.  Or is there a better place to ask?

Thank you, Susan McCree

Specs indicate:
Emulations:
BR-Script3‡, GDI, PCL6 (PCL XL Class 3.0), PDF Version 1.7, XPS Version 1.0

I know QM has built in PCL support, not sure about mvBASE though.
Since you can send PCL code, (I assume it prints properly), I assume you have the Emulation set as PCL.
The PCL printers I have interfaced with, 10cpi Monospace font is its default.
With QM, I set up the printer as a 'raw printer driver / Generic Text Only', and use the SETPTR command to set all PCL options.
good luck,

CDMI

Hi Susan,
Typically the default font is set directly on the printer. Since mvBase uses Windows, setting the default via the Windows driver as suggested by Peter is likely the best way to go.
If you can't do it that way, then you will have to investigate adding the appropriate PCL command(s) to the mvBase printer selection process that precedes the reports.
