Hello everyone,

I have a project for an accounting company who has an accounting system still in Clipper.  They have managed to maintain old legacy PC's to keep his system running.

I've looked into Harbour and really like it. However, I like the thought of having support from a company like Multisoft.

I wanted to know how active the Flagship community is and what the direction of Flagship is.  Is it still being developed?  I find many links not working on their site, especially for ordering which makes me.a bit uncomfortable in investing in the product.

Thanks in advance for your insights.

Looking at the website, the most recent version for Windows (VFS 8.1.04) was over 3 years ago (15-Nov-2021). But they still respond to requests for demo versions, so the company still exists.

Good morning, I have been using the flagship for over 15 years with over 1000 concurrent users and I have never had any problems, you can use it with peace of mind that you will not regret it.

My dBase app from 1984 was moved to Clipper around 1990, then to Flagship8 a few years ago. And works great on current version of Windows 11. Without FlagShip, my app would have required a complete re-design/implementation.

Buenos días James Reed,
He manejado alrededor de 20 años FlagShip bajo linux (Ubuntu) sin problemas.
Si tienes alguna pregunta o necesitas ayuda adicional, por favor, no dudes en hacérmelo saber.
Saludos.

This is great to hear.  I loved programming in Clipper back in the 80's and early 90's.  Sounds like this product isn't going anywhere, at least anytime soon.  Are there many companies seeking resources for Flagship:?
