Hike Tom, Dick and Harry

Hi Mountain High members and friends. 

On Thursday the 18th, I will be hiking the Tom Dick and Harry/Mirror Lake trail. If anyone wants to join me. Meet me in the Tail Head parking lot (Ski Bowl Lot) at about 9 am. I will have a gray Ford F150 with a canopy. Look also for the small triangle orange Mountain High pole flag.     

The out and back hike is about 8.25 miles with about a 1700 elevation gain

Thanks Linda. The doctor said I should start using a light backpack to see how I do. I also need to start acclimating myself at higher elevation again. Need to get ready for my Chile trip in August. I'll be scheduling more hikes.

Hi Cal, 

The upcoming Tom, Dick, and Harry hike at over 8 miles long is actually longer than I expected.  I hope your knees will take it.

I have just posted the hikes on the website, and I have also composed an email to the whole club, to let them know about the hikes. I just sent the email to Linda McGavin for proofreading, since I've been making a lot of typos lately.  As soon as she is done proofreading it, she will send it out to our club members.  Most likely later this evening.

Hi Emilio, Thank you for posting and emailing. I read the Website posting and it looks good. I know it's short notice. Also It's not my knees I'm worried about. It's my shoulder I'm more concerned about. I'm aware of the length and elevation. Working on getting back inshape. I did this hike last spring and ran into a lot of snow. This year should be better. 

I'll have more updates for the Meadows hikes later. I was hoping it would help promote the Hwy Cleanup at the same time. Debbi said she has 6 people including me for the cleanup.
