Race Marks

Hello group, 

Did any member's make it down to Old man’s to finish the marks? Thank you to those who came during the scheduled meet up.

I have to schedule putting the marks into the water with John, but will not be scheduling until I know they are completed. As everyone knows our first race is this Saturday. It’s crunch time. Tomorrow will be in 70s, and a great day to paint if that has not already been completed. 

If anyone has updates on the marks please let me know as soon as possible.

Haley,

I cannot say whether or not the marks have been painted but I can say the club mooring for Port Jefferson has been inspected and approved. The sticker has been applied by the harbor master. 

I would schedule the launching of the marks with John Davi so we have them, and hope they're painted otherwise I would highly encourage the racing members to have the marks accurately put into the MFD/GPS. 

Reach out to me and I can provide you with a hand held GPS to set the race marks. I bought it and have been using it to set the marks the last two years with no complaints on mark location.

Hello again, 

I am a bit disappointed no one has answered my email yesterday. 

Did anyone make it down to Old Man’s to check the status of the marks? Unfortunately I have not had the time. It’s the busiest time of the year for my work, on top of caring for 4 girls who are all in extracurricular activities. Today I will be working in Oyster Bay and then bringing one of my girls to an appointment at 5pm. I will not be able to make it down there. If some members could show up there around 5pm and give me an update I would really appreciate it. If the marks are not painted it does not matter to me, I will schedule putting them into the water with John. I will not be scheduling with him twice, so if the T mushroom is still missing and O has not been repaired yet I’ll continue to wait. 

I do care about this association and all of you, but I will not be participating in Saturdays race due to a practice race for Newport to Bermuda. If the marks go in next week, they go in next week. 

I am still learning the responsibilities of this role and what it entails. I need your guys help this week if we want racing to happen. 

Please keep me updated if a group makes it down there this evening.
