Recently, several people have asked if they should use the bids/mriqc or the poldracklab/mriqc docker image.

The main difference between both is that bids/mriqc is a compliant BIDS-App (http://journals.plos.org/ploscompbiol/article?id=10.1371/journal.pcbi.1005209), and wraps poldracklab/mriqc adding some functionalities (the most relevant would be that it includes the BIDS-Validator).

So, if you already have a dataset in BIDS format and you only need MRIQC, then poldracklab/mriqc is your best choice. If you are integrating MRIQC in an automated compute infrastructure or similar, then you probably do better with bids/mriqc.

Cheers,
Oscar

We should think of an automatic scheme that keeps those two in sync.

Best,
Chris
