I have seen some websites where people have customized their code to get the streams from these types of camera to work in their application. But they have to customize things. Does anyone have any insight?

Here's a website with some discussion on it.

It's really simple.

1) Set you camera IP with V380
2) Scan for open ports using nmap and post here. You should be looking for rtsp protocol, port 554.
3) If it's closed, try to update inside V380.
4) Still doesn't work, you need an SD card to update. List you model (Visible inside V380).

I will explain the rest latter.

If you did everything right, it means that you need to upgrade.

Option 1) Mail v380te...@gmail.com and ask them the update file. Tell them that you need to open rstp port.
Option 2) Use at your own risk.

Hi,

Please update the cam first, then use ‘ceshi.ini’ to open RTSP.

Here's the upgrade guidance:

step 1: unzip the attached patch “V380E2_CuptoCA_V.2.5.9.5 .zip”, copy the contents into the SD card root directory(means if there are any folders in the card, do not move them in any of them)

step 2: insert the card into camera again and restart the camera,if your camera have voice prompt, wait for the camera speak “update completing”, if your camera can not speak, just refer to the light indicator

step 3: delete the contents i sent you in the SD card and restart the camera

Camera need to be power off when the SD card is taken out or inserted in

Here's the‘ceshi.ini’ usage guidance:

step 1: copy the “ceshi” file and paste it to the SD card root directory(means if there are any folders in the card, do not move them in any of them)

step 2: insert the card into camera again and restart the camera, wait for the camera proceed automatically it may speak some Chinese

step 3necessary steps: delete the file i sent you in the SD card and restart the camera

Camera need to be power off when the SD card is taken out or inserted in
