 Dear members,

Following the meeting held on Saturday 15th February 2020 at Hotel Eleanora, I would like to request that we start making contributions towards the SWOT analysis of MOSA. Primarily, the interest is to share information on the following:

  1. Where have we been strong and what can we leverage out of our strengths.
  2. Where have we been weak and what can we do to deal with these weaknesses?
  3. What opportunities and threats are we faced with?
We can discuss and share openly in these areas as a build up towards the AGM and generate a presentation for the stakeholders meeting.

Thank you and looking forward to hear from you.

Regards,

Sam

Dear Sam and gallant OB's and OG's,

My brief submission is as follows;
  1. Where have we been strong and what can we leverage out of our strengths. I believe our  strength is the presence of influential and powerful members who can lobby and drive our agenda to what ever levels required. This needs identifying them and engage with them constantly to the extent that they grow into MOSA champions and creating a band wagon effect.
  2. Where have we been weak and what can we do to deal with these weaknesses? Our weakness is inconsistency in engagements on issues regarding MOSA and hence a "Hot and Cold" environment thereby leading to less commitment from members. We need to have a spread of MOSA activities through out the year in all locations (Mvara SS, Arua, Koboko, Maracha, Kampala, etc. so that even current students of Mvara SS and dormant members (such as myself) cant wait to be part of this cause.
  3. What opportunities and threats are we faced with? The opportunities we need to exploit are the fact that we are a multi-skilled, multi cultural and balanced old student body that can create tangible and significant change in any way we wish which encourages innovation on issues of academic excellence, mentor-ship, collaborations etc.
I look forward to the consolidation this analysis offers with submission from members to enable us refocus and carry our beloved school name to the heights it deserves as we already uphold it in our respective areas of service in a continuous bid to always  "BE SENSIBLE AND RESPONSIBLE" citizens of this Nation.

Best Regards
